In the US benchmark for marketing agency tools, each model names a different leader across the 4-week window closed on October 12, 2026. ChatGPT names HubSpot first, Gemini names Ahrefs first and Claude names SEMrush first. Across the 86 answers analysed from ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude, HubSpot holds 2.1% of mentions and appears in 19.8% of the answers. Ahrefs sits at 3.5% of mentions, with 32 mentions in the window. SEMrush closes the top three.

For the brands competing in this category, the reference changes with the model. A brand sitting behind HubSpot in ChatGPT meets a different front-runner in Gemini and a third one in Claude. The shares are small in every case: the model with the strongest preference still spreads its mentions across many names, and the distance between the first two brands in the aggregate ranking stays narrow. The picture is three separate leaderboards that share the same three names in different orders, with a long tail of other tools filling most of the mentions in the window.

How I measured it

In the 4-week window closed on October 12, 2026 I gathered 86 answers from ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude about marketing agency tools in United States. The public benchmark measures every week which brands ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude name across 20 markets and 15 industries, in Spanish and in English. The models are queried through their APIs and without web search. Every mention is counted against a curated brand registry, with whole-word matching. Every brand that appears in a Quick Insight has been reviewed by a person. A brand's mention share is its part of the category's verified mentions in the period. The 95% interval is the margin of error of the share, calculated with the Wilson method. I calculate it on mentions and on answers. I publish a lead as clear when the second brand's share falls outside the leader's interval in both calculations. Inside it, it is a statistical tie.
