How to measure whether AI cites your brand in Spanish
When someone asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity about a brand in Spanish, the answer is not the same as the one they would get asking in English. The language of the prompt, and the country the user mentions or writes from, can change which brands show up and in what order. For a brand that sells into the Spanish speaking market, this means measuring its visibility in English says nothing reliable about what a user sees when asking in Spanish from Argentina, Mexico or Spain.
Most AI visibility tools were built and tested in English first, with prompts designed for the US market. When used to measure a Spanish speaking market, they usually translate the prompt literally without adjusting the country, which does not reproduce the actual question a Spanish speaking user would ask. AuraMetrics also works in English, but it measures Spanish with dedicated attention, prompt by prompt and country by country.
The same prompt, two answers
The same question, about the same market, asked in English and in Spanish. The only variable that changes is the language of the prompt.
English prompt
“What's the best CRM software for a small business in Argentina?”
HubSpot is widely considered the industry standard for small businesses globally, and it works very well in Argentina. [...] Zoho is often the most cost-effective solution for Argentine businesses looking for an all-in-one suite. [...] If you are just starting out: Start with HubSpot (Free).
Spanish prompt
“¿Cuál es el mejor software CRM para una pequeña empresa en Argentina?”
Pipedrive: es, probablemente, el más popular para pequeñas empresas en Argentina. Tiene una integración excelente con WhatsApp, algo fundamental para el mercado argentino. [...] Bitrix24: es una herramienta extremadamente completa. [...] En Argentina, el 90% de la venta se cierra por WhatsApp.

What AuraMetrics measures
Spanish prompts by country
Prompts are written directly in Spanish and adjusted by country, because the same question phrased for Argentina, Mexico or Spain can return different brands. AuraMetrics also works in English, but the difference is the dedicated attention to Spanish: most GEO platforms treat it as a translation of English, instead of an approach of its own.
Comparison across ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity
The same prompt runs against several models, because a brand can appear in one model's answers and not in another's. The comparison shows which engines the brand is present in and which ones it is not.
Citability vs visibility
An AI mentioning a brand is not the same as using it as a source. Visibility is appearing named in the answer; citability is the model pointing to the brand as a reference for the information, a different and stronger signal of trust.
Connection with GA4
AI visibility is connected to the account's real Google Analytics 4 data, to see whether an increase in mentions is also reflected in traffic and conversions, instead of staying an isolated number.

Frequently asked questions
How can I tell if ChatGPT mentions my brand in Spanish?
The most direct way is to type into ChatGPT the same prompts a real customer would use, in Spanish and naming the country, and check whether your brand appears in the answer. A single query is not enough: the answer can vary between sessions, so it helps to repeat the same prompt several times and with different variations. AuraMetrics automates that process by running a set of Spanish prompts by country on a recurring basis and logging every mention.
Is there a GEO tool in Spanish?
Yes. AuraMetrics is a GEO platform designed from Uruguay with the Spanish speaking market specifically in mind, with prompts written in Spanish and adjusted by country. Most GEO tools were built in English first, which affects how they handle language and local context when used to measure brands in Spanish.
Why don't English language AI visibility tools work for Latin America?
It is not that they are useless, but that they measure different conditions than the ones a Spanish speaking brand actually faces. Most run prompts in English or translate an English prompt literally, without adjusting it to the country or to how a Spanish speaking user actually asks. Since the language and country of the prompt change the answer an AI model gives, a result measured in English does not predict what a user sees when asking in Spanish from Argentina, Mexico or Spain.
What is the difference between AI mentioning my brand and citing it as a source?
An AI mentioning your brand means it appears named inside the answer, alongside other options. Citing it as a source is a further step: the model points to your brand or your site as the reference for the information it is giving, which usually reflects greater trust and perceived authority. Measuring only mentions leaves out that difference.
Can AI visibility be measured by country?
Yes. The same prompt, phrased for different countries, can return different brands and answers, because AI models adjust their answers to the context they receive. Measuring by country means running the same type of query specifying each market (Argentina, Mexico, Spain, and others) and comparing the results separately, instead of assuming one single measurement represents the whole Spanish speaking market.
How does AI visibility connect to Google Analytics 4?
AuraMetrics integrates the brand's GA4 account to cross reference the mentions and citations detected in AI with the site's real traffic and conversions. This makes it possible to see whether an increase in AI visibility translates into actual visits and business results, instead of remaining an isolated metric disconnected from what happens on the site.
